How PodPronto Works

Spend less time searching through long videos. PodPronto helps you find podcasts and YouTube videos, explore the topics inside, and jump to the moments you want to hear. Save favorite series in My Library and return to them whenever you like.

Two ways to find something to watch

PodPronto is free to use and does not require a PodPronto account. Videos play through YouTube’s embedded player and remain subject to YouTube’s availability and restrictions.

Browse or search the podcast library

On the homepage, choose Open List in the Find a Series panel to browse the series alphabetically. Select a series to visit its page, then choose an episode. Short episode previews help you decide what to watch. The header’s Search option searches the guides already in the library by podcast, guest, episode or topic.

My Library: keep your favorite series together

Select the star on a series card or series page to add it to My Library. A filled star marks a saved series. Your favorites appear in a compact My Library panel on the homepage, with direct links to their series pages. Select the star again to remove a favorite; the panel can also be opened or closed.

My Library is personal to this browser profile. No account is needed, and favorites are not automatically synced across devices, browsers or separate app storage. Clearing PodPronto’s site data removes them. Saving a favorite does not add new episodes or publish anything to the public library.

Find YouTube videos beyond the library

The homepage’s Find a Video panel opens Watch Any Video in a new tab. Enter a podcast, title, guest or subject, or paste a YouTube video URL. Results appear below the search fields, with ten videos per page when enough results are available. Use Previous and Next to browse more, then choose Watch Video to open the player.

This lets you explore a supported YouTube video without first asking for it to be added to the library. Finding or watching a video does not automatically add that video or its series to the public library.

Try Watch Any Video Opens in a new tab.

Use Segments and Topic Guides

On a player page, View Segments opens a compact list of chapter titles and timestamps. View Topic Guides opens the topic navigation, with descriptions when available. Only one panel appears at a time; the swap controls let you move between them. Select a timestamp, or an available linked topic title or description, to jump the player to that moment. As the video plays, the guide highlights the current section.

Segments, Topic Guides and detailed descriptions are not available for every video. Navigation can come from an existing PodPronto guide, creator-provided timestamps or YouTube chapters that can be retrieved. Additional chapter retrieval can take a short time, and it may not succeed. Some videos offer chapter headings without descriptions; others offer video playback only. If optional caption-based guide generation is enabled, available captions can provide another source. No method guarantees a guide for every video.

Pick up where you left off

On supported player pages, PodPronto remembers your playback position in this browser and offers it when you return. A timestamp link or Play From Beginning lets you choose another starting point. Select Play Video to load the player; your browser may also require you to press Play inside the video. Browser storage settings, private browsing or clearing site data can prevent saved progress from being available later.

The desktop Expand Player control makes room for a wider video. Series Page opens another page, so use it when you are ready to leave the current episode and browse the series.

Add PodPronto to your phone

For quick access, use Install as an App in the mobile homepage header when offered, or your browser’s Install or Add to Home Screen option. Installation options vary by browser and device. Open PodPronto afterward using its home-screen icon.

You still need an internet connection to browse current content and play videos. Installing the app does not download the podcast library or make videos available offline.

How to read the guides

Library guides are AI-assisted summaries, not verbatim transcripts. Titles and descriptions can omit nuance or reveal part of a story. Creator chapters, retrieved chapters and generated summaries can contain errors, and creators can change their videos. Check the original recording for context and report a timestamp or description that needs attention.

PodPronto shares conversations for exploration, not endorsement. Describing a speaker’s claim does not establish that it is true, and including a show does not mean agreeing with its views. Consider other perspectives and form your own opinion. Older recordings may not reflect later reporting or developments.

Request a series, an episode or a correction

Found a show through Watch Any Video that you would like in the library? Request the series or a particular episode. You can also report a broken video, inaccurate summary or misplaced timestamp. Include the series name, video link and relevant timestamp when possible.

Requests are reviewed by the site administrator. They do not automatically publish content or guarantee a response, publication or a particular timetable.

Share a useful guide or moment

Use the available sharing controls to send someone a PodPronto player link or a timestamped moment. A timestamp selects a starting point; the recipient may still need to press Play. The original YouTube video must remain available.

Independent guides, original videos

PodPronto is an independent discovery and navigation website, not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, Spotify, the featured shows or their hosts. Videos remain on their original YouTube channels and play through YouTube’s embedded player. Show names, logos and video titles identify the material; they do not imply sponsorship.
